JASNÁ – Low Tatras

The center offers 45 km perfect ski courses of various difficulty, that are suitable both for beginners, families with children, and skilled skiers. The modern snowmaking system in the length of 27 km guarantees snow for minimum 5 months. On the Chopok hill are 30 chair lifts and ski lifts with the transport capacity of 30,000 persons per hour. The SOLUM apartments are situated only 6 km from the Jasná Center that offers, in addition to perfect courses for alpine skiing, also a U-ramp for snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and it will satisfy also the ski alpinists.

Bešeňová Gino Paradise

The Bešeňová swimming pool is in the distance of 20 km from the SOLUM apartments. It is open during the whole year from 10.00 am to 21.00 pm daily. The area offers 5 indoor and 13 outdoor pools with various water temperature, adrenaline/leisure zone, children´s playground, relax massages.
Directly in the area is a good restaurant and snack bar, you even need not change your clothes.
The geothermal springs have the temperature of up to 60°C. For swimming, they are cooled down to the temperature of 36-40 degrees. The water has positive effects on the mind, skeleton and muscles, urologic problems, and skin. In the environment of the Bešeňová Thermal Swimming Pool, you may admire the natural springs of the mineral water that is healing and good for drinking.

Tatralandia Aquapark

It is the largest aquapark in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland. It is only in 12 km distance from the SOLUM apartments. The thermal water reaching the temperature of 38°C has positive effects on the skeleton and muscles and the respiratory system. The source of thermal water is the spring in the depth of 2500 m with temperature of 60.7 °C.
The areal comprises 14 swimming pools, 28 tobogan courses with slides, water massage, water swings and beds, water volleyball and basketball, 13 sauna rooms, vital relaxing water world, relax massage, climbing wall with waterfall, children´s playground, children´s pool, restaurants, and animation program during the whole day.

Lúčky Spa

The Lúčky Spa lies on the hillside of the Choč Hills, between the regions of Liptov and Orava, in the altitude of 621 m. In 2008, the spa built a new AQUA - VITAL park that is open during the whole year, with a sitting pool with healing thermal water with temperature of 36 – 38 degrees, recreational swimming pool with water temperature of 28 - 33 degrees, various attractions, sauna world. It offers also a divided indoor mineral water pool with temperature of 33° – 35° C.

Poprad Aquacity (Poprad Aquapark)

It is open during the whole year from 10.00 am to 22.00 pm daily. It is situated in the town of Poprad, in the distance of 60 km by highway from the SOLUM apartments. 50°C warm and crystal clear blue water springs from the depth of 1300 m. It is rich in calcium, magnesium, and has positive effects on the skeleton and muscles, respiratory system, arthrosis, and it has also good cosmetic effects. You may find here a 50 m indoor swimming pool, fitness, tennis courts, volleyball, mini golf, tobogans. You may relax in the flower, salt, steam or mint sauna. The Aquacity comprises also snack-bars and restaurant.

Hiking and Cycling

The Liptov region offers optimum conditions for the lovers of road cycling because it is crossed by a highway from Ivachnová to Važec, and thus the side roads with less dense traffic are really ideal for this kind of sport. The popular courses are around the Liptovská Mara water basin, through the valleys Čiernovažská dolina or Demänovská dolina. The tourists often combine pedestrian hiking and mountain bike riding.

Pedestrian and Mountain Hiking

Pedestrian hiking may also be a good relax. Most of pedestrian courses pass through the beautiful national parks, landscape regions, and protected zones. The region of Liptov offers not only mineral springs but also mountains. The courses are well marked by yellow, green, red, and blue colour. The popular courses and places are: the ridge of the Low Tatras, the ridge of Malá Fatra, the hills of Ďumbier, Baranec, the valleys of Prosiecka dolina, Kvačianska dolina, Žiarska dolina Repiska, Záhradky Chopok, Vlkolínec, and many others.

Caves

The Liptov region offers also its underground beauties. In the massive mountains of the Low Tatras are about 80 caves which belong to 4,000 known caves of Slovakia. Out of that number, 12 caves are open for the public. The most well-known caves in the valley Demänovská dolina are – Demänovská Cave of Freedom and Demänovská Ice Cave. In the near and farther regions, you would enjoy visiting the Snanišovská Cave (open for the whole year), Važecká Cave, Bat Cave, Bystrianska Cave, Belianska Cave, Harmanecká Cave, and Dobšinská Ice Cave.

The Liptov region offers also angling, game angling, squash, tennis, beach volleyball, equestrian sport, sightseeing flights, paragliding, paintball, rafting in the artificial water canal, rock climbing, skibob course, motorcar course, climbing in a cave.
